David S. Alexander

President of Nine Star Education and Employment Services with ESL, job placement (youth-adult-senior), high school completion, and technology training as core program areas.  Dr. Alexander is working with the national adult education association in its merger plans with ProLiteracy America, and is a board member of Bridge Builders since 2006.  He is the Literacy Task Force Chair for Rotary, and a board member for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers, Mountain View Weed ‘n Seed, Champion Sports Camp, Inc., and the Mountain View Community Council.  He is Chair of the Operators’ Consortium for Anchorage/Mat-Su Job Centers, newsletter editor for the Mountain View Community Council, and member and past Chair of the Northwest (Job Center) Board of Governors Consortium.  He is on the U.S. Technical Working group for adult education improvements and Technology Chair for the national Commission on Adult Basic Education.  In addition to administrative work, he teaches English and Human Relations at the University of Alaska Anchorage, he is a published author, and he has produced a number of commercial television programs.
